School/Organization: Westside Schools Project Leader: Kara Meiborg and Brian Christoffersen Amount: $5,000 Description: Last year in the ten Cedar Rapids Westside elementary schools nearly 2,000 or 59% of K-5 students qualified for Free/Reduced lunch. These economic difficulties make even something as simple as buying school supplies difficult for families.
