Date: 3/10/2010 School/Organization: Cedar Hills Booster Club Project Leader: Brian Christoffersen Amount: $275 Description: Tough economic times have brought a challenge to a west side organization that has been a mainstay for youth baseball and softball for over 40 years. The Cedar Hills Booster Club that depends on team sponsorships as a primary source to finance their league has seen a significant drop in sponsors the last two years. Last spring, the league was about ten sponsorships short just weeks before the season was going to start. CR netWORK was one of several local groups who 'came to the rescue' by sponsoring a team which prevented the CHBC from having to turn away kids who wanted to play baseball or softball. The league prides itself on offering a quality program at a low cost to its players. Team Sponsors are down again for this upcoming 2010 season.
