Date: 11/24/2015 School/Organization: Jackson Elementary Project Leader: Ara Ispentchian Amount: $1,000 Description: Jackson’s basketball goals were thought to be original to the building (appx. 45 years old). They were a fixed height, which is too high for most students to use and the posts were no longer upright. The basketball hoops they ended up getting were institutional-grade, adjustable, in-ground outdoor Bison Basketball Hoops. Jackson PTA committed $2,000 for the project. Adjustable goals would provide playing heights for all elementary students and then be raised on the weekends to help prevent damage from other players who use the court.
